House Cleansing and purification ritual

A Simple House Cleansing Ritual
Feel Better About Your Inner Space

House Cleansing Ritual

A house cleansing ritual is a way to remove any
negative energies that might be lurking in your home.
Reasons for doing this vary, but could include:
Moving into a new house.
You feel there is negativity in your house
You have had a run of bad luck.
You sense an unwelcome energy, being or ghost.
Any time the energy feels heavy, dark, lethargic, or grimy.
It doesn't hurt to do this in your home on a regular basis.
You will definitely feel a difference in your home, and
yourself, and your whole house will be cleansed, and clean.
House Cleansing Ritual

I like to start by lighting a candle that I will take from
room to room as I clean. You would not want to leave a candle
unattended, or near something that may catch fire, or knock
it over. Sage smudges have also been used.
You may also invite any deities or guides that you may like
to help you. I like to think happy thoughts, and concentrate
in the cleansing/cleaning process. Getting in to the corners,
and crevasses where the bad can hide, like spiders do.
House Cleansing Ritual
I include in this dusting, sweeping, and washing down the
floors, and the cleaning of objects in the room.
After I am done with one room, I move on to the next, and
repeat the process until I am satisfied that I have removed
the evil/bad/ unwanted/negative...whatever you may wish to
call it. You may also wish to carry your candle/smudge stick
from window to window, and to all corners of the room, and
entryway working the candle/smudge in a circle spiraling in
to the center. Banishing that which you do not want, and
freeing the room of all negative.
There are those who also like to go around the outside of the
house as well, even around the entire property, at every
entryway. You may do what ever it is that makes you feel good,
and safe. You can adapt this ritual to suit your needs.
When your are done you will feel different, and so will your
home, and best of all...it will be clean! You will be able to
breath easier, you will be healthier, and happier. All it takes
is your time, and it will be time well spent.

Here is a good list to follow:

1 Get rid of clutter.
2 Clean the space thoroughly.
3 If you have just moved to a new home that has a bad aura or a
negative feel, wash any wood surfaces and floors with mild witch
hazel diluted with water: 10 to 1 mix.
You are going to clean it anyway. :) 4 Finish one room, then move on to the next.
5 Sweep the doorways and steps of your front and back entrances.
6 Put one of the following into the soapy water you use to mop
your floors. I personally use disinfecting lemon scented wipes.
If you have carpets, consider making a small mixture and sprinkling
or spraying it on the floors after vacuuming. Just
a few drops of the essential oils will suffice:
Salt (purifying and grounding)
Sage essential oil (purifying)
Lemon essential oil (gives energy and a clean smell)
Patchouli (brings prosperity)
Pine (brings prosperity and love)

Seal your home against
negative energies by doing
one or more
of the following:

1 Using a wand, sketch a pentacle in the invoking direction at
each of your home's entrances. Don't forget the door to the
basement or garage!
2 Sprinkle salt water around the outside walls of your home.
3 Place a penny (right side up) in each of the outside corners
of your home.
4 Place a protective symbol--such as a mirror, a household god,
or a broom at or near your front and back doors. It's best to
use the symbol most closely aligned with your own ethnic heritage.
One that makes you feel safe.
Envision the space within you and around you filled with light, a
protective, healing and positive light. Think of the light as a
shield against dark forces and negative energy.

karma
Karma
Karma means action, work or deed, it also refers to the principle of causality
where intent and actions of an individual influence the future of that individual.
Good intent and good deed contribute to good karma and future happiness,
while bad intent and bad deed contribute to bad karma and future suffering.
Karma is closely associated with the idea of rebirth in some schools of Asian religions.
In these schools, karma in the present affects one's future in the current life,
as well as the nature and quality of future lives... Think about that for awhile...
